Koh Talu
Koh Talu (also spelt Koh Thalu) is a private island in the Gulf of Thailand, 30 minutes boat ride from Bangsaphan. It has two beautiful resorts, unspoiled beaches and coconut palms encircling the pristine evergreen tropical rainforest covering the most of it. The shallow clear blue sea with rich marine life is the perfect choice of nature lovers for fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, sailing, trekking or just for relaxing.
History
The islands nestled alone farther from other minor islands of Koh Samet. Yet the farther distance it is located, the more beauty it gains ; Koh Talu has a very clean and white sand, as well as crystal clear seawater. The white beach at the front is the center of the island, whereas the one in the west is the area where sea turtles lay eggs. The most special feature of Koh Talu is the hole at the island's head which could be seen very well even from a distance. This is the3 origin of the name Koh Talu, which means the hole island. Besides, around the island are some interesting diving spots, for Koh Talu is considered one of the best and the most abundant coral reefs of Rayong Sea.
Geography
These three islands suitable for fishing can be reached within 30 minutes by boat from Ban Pak Khlong, 7 kilometres east of Bang Saphan sppen boat only 15 minures. The electricity on the island open 1800 to 0600 hrs only. There are only 2 resorts on the island. It’s natural and peaceful suitable for snorkeling and kayaking at Ao Tian Beach. And This place is not far from Bangkok take a bus to Prachubkhireekhan about 5 hrs and go on to the boat for 30 mins you will get to Koh Talu Island
